Inclusive, Authentic, Open-Minded.

Helping individuals and couples create meaningful lives, relationships, and possibilities.

I am here to help you navigate anxieties, depression, romantic and peer relationships, career choices, sexual orientation, parenting, self-esteem, and recovery support. Whether you enjoy ongoing sessions or to join the couch for a quick "tune-up,” our time together will be collaborative and an opportunity for growth. I see my role as someone walking alongside you, offering guidance and support.

Approach

Navigating life's challenges, whether it's coping with a breakup, job loss, or the disappointment of a political outcome, may trigger a natural inclination to withdraw. This might manifest as distancing from loved ones, avoiding enjoyable activities, or even feeling disconnected from your own body. Alternatively, some individuals may exhibit aggressive behavior, irritation, or a tendency to bury their heads in the sand. Recognizing these symptoms can be a crucial signal that seeking assistance is beneficial.

In my perspective, effective psychotherapy has the potential to transform a crisis into an opportunity for personal growth. Through thoughtful exploration of fears and uncertainties, and with the guidance of a trained professional, it becomes possible to identify and challenge misconceptions about navigating life's challenges. Sharing your story in a therapeutic setting can facilitate growth, helping you uncover your strengths and set realistic, achievable goals.

Meet Brace

I began my higher education at California State University, Northridge where I earned my Bachelor’s, then continued to a Master’s program at Antioch University, Los Angeles. Due to a piqued interest in depth therapy, I commenced my clinical work at The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, California where I spent two years providing therapy to individual adults, couples, and facilitated a gay men’s group. It was in this setting I was able to put theory into practice by helping individuals understand the origin of unhealthy thoughts and behaviors, and make needed changes in the present.

That foundation served me well as I chose to expand my experience by counseling adolescents at Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, California. Having had the opportunity to work within a school setting, I gained more exposure to the Cognitive Behavioral model and a deeper appreciation for the obstacles both parents and students confront on a day-to-day basis, such as a need for stronger communication, healthier boundaries, and emotional regulation.

Everyone has a story to share, and I would value the opportunity to hear yours

I am aware that your culture impacts the way you view the world, the way it views you, and your experience in seeking therapy.

Together, we can enable you in ways that promote inner confidence, strength, and the achievement of your goals

Couples Therapy

Its not about pointing fingers, it’s about discovering healthier communication, solving conflicts, and strengthening your friendship

OFFICE-BASED AND VIRTUAL

Teletherapy was a necessity during the COVID pandemic and has become a more normalized option. Although office-based therapy has its benefits, having the choice allows more consistency when things pop up. Many individuals and couples enjoy the flexibility of hybrid scheduling to accommodate their busy lives. Others, due to geographical location or accessibility prefer the convenience of online therapy.

Let’s be honest, it’s tough choosing a therapist. A myriad of questions may arise and the task can feel overwhelming. Will they be able to help? Are they inclusive? Do they work virtually?

I like to provide a 15-minute consultation, free of charge, where we can meet to determine if we are, indeed, a good fit. Feel free to reach out and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
